End User Guide on Password Reset

Objective: This knowledge base article provides guidance on how to reset the password.
Option 1: eAUTOMATE
Device/s: Emapta Managed Machines Only.
1. From the task bar, go to System Tray and click the Emapta “E” Icon.
2. On the menu, select Change my Password V2.
3. Emapta IT Service Center password window will appear. Enter your new password and click Submit.
NOTE: Ensure that the status is Connected before changing the password.
4. Enter the OTP sent to your Emapta email and click Change password.
Option 2: LAUNCH PAL
Device/s: Emapta Managed Machines Only.
1. From the desktop, click the Launch Pal icon.
2. Under Tools menu, select Change Password.
3. Emapta IT Service Center password window will appear. Enter your new password and click Submit.
NOTE: Ensure that the status is Connected before changing the password.
4. Enter the OTP sent to your Emapta email and click Change password.
Option 3: ONLINE PASSWORD RESET (OPR)
Device/s: All types of machines (ECL, Client Managed and Personal Machines)
1. Open your web browser and go to EMAPTA OPR.
2. Login with your domain credentials.
3. Click Change Password.
4. After watching the video guide on how to change password, click Next.
NOTE: The video guide shows the same instructions documented above
5. If you have successfully changed your password, select Yes, I was able to change my password successfully.
a. The next screen will show the new password expiration date.
6. If you’re NOT able to change your password, select No, I need help to reset my password.
a. Enter the OTP sent to your Emapta email.
b. Emapta IT Service Center password window will appear. Enter your new password and click Submit.
c. Once successful, the password expiration date will appear in the next screen.
Important Reminders:
- It is advisable to use eAutomate Tool to avoid any syncing issue between your workstation and Empower password.
- Be sure to save the new password in a secure place.
- Wait for 24 hours before changing the password provided by your IT Service Center.
